OMO VALLEY, WITHOUT CAMP
DAY 1:
Arrival at Addis Ababa.
DAY 2:
Depart by car (4x4) to Langano, looking at the Crater Lakes of Debre Zeith and the Rift Valley lakes of Abyata Shalla, with many birds such as pelicans, flamingos and others. Continue until Langano. If possible, do Night in the quiet Logde New Jenny, a Logde isolated at the middle of nature, a green paradise with a variety of birds and animals.
DAY 3:
Continue to Arbaminch with some stops along the way to visit the People of Wolayta, with its interesting buildings, way of life, the false banana crop (use it to make the local bread, the Kocho). In the afternoon transfer by car to the mountains to visit the town of Chencha, the Tribe of Dorze. Go into their houses; admire the clothes, fabrics wisely (so they are well known), their crops of sorghum, false banana (Enset). Dinner and Night at hotel at Arbarninch.
DAY 4:
Drive to Jinka, enjoying wonderful views of the landscapes and visiting the Konso tribes, Derash, Tsernay, Ari and Benna. Overnight at Jinka.
DAY 5:
In the morning, transfer by vehicle to Mago National Park. Dinner and Night at National Park of Mago.
DAY 6:
Drive to Murule. Food and camping at Murulle. In the afternoon, transfer to Korcho, to visit the tribes of Karo and villages on the banks of the River Omo. These tribes are well known for the manner in which they paint their bodies. Dinner and Night at the camp Murulle.
DAY 7:
Drive to Turmi via Dimeka. In the afternoon, visit Tribes and villages of Hammer.
DAY 8:
In the morning, transfer by vehicle to Omorate, and visit the Tribe Dassanech (Geleb). Cross the other side of the Omo River. Afternoon visit the Turmi and witness, if possible, a market or traditional ceremony (bull jumping).
DAY 9:
Travel to Konso and visit the village, Konso and Meoheke.
DAY 10:
Transfer by car to Arbaminch and visit the magnificent park of Nechsar National Park.. In the afternoon, if time permits, boat ride on Lake Chamo to see hippopotamus, huge crocodiles, and colonies of pelicans.
DAY 11:
Drive to Awassa. A town near the lake, at the Rift Valley. Afternoon visit the beautiful Lake Awassa to see the great variety of birds that rest on its shores. Night in hotel at Awassa.
DAY 12:
In the morning, visit the fish market of Awassa and return by car to Addis Ababa.
DAY 13:
Departure.

In northern Ethiopia the rainy season is from June to late August. In the south the rainy season is April and May. Due to climate change, the data provided may vary depending on the year.
