A trip for northern Ethiopia. Traveling north, let us know the history of this country. A route designed with the objective of knowing the most important places in the region, where the majority is Orthodox religion.
Most of the people are ethnic Amhara. Cities like Bahar Dar, shores of Lake Tana, where we will visit its churches latched in small islets in the lake, or the famous waterfalls of Tissisat, Blue Nile source. The town of Gondar receives us with all its medieval buildings, castles, fortresses, declared patrimony of humanity. Lalibela highlight of the trip with its troglodyte churches excavated in the rock that form a unique and incomparable monument. We may know the rhythm of life of the monks who watch over the well kept relics that exist there.

DAY 1:
On arrival in Addis Ababa, there will be a city tour of National Museum where Lucy 'Dinkinesh' is found, the Ethnographic Museum of the main campus of Addis Ababa University and mount Entoto the first palace of Emperior Menelik is found.
DAY 2:
Transfer to the monastery Debra Libanos and the Blue Nile Gorges.
DAY 3:
Transfer to Bahir Dar and on Arrival in the afternoon there will be a city tour of Bahir Dar.
DAY 4:
This day we will be spending our time in the monasteries of Lake Tana where we can find holy books and ecclesiastic materials those tell us about the history of 12th and 13th century back.
DAY 5:
Transfer to Gonder, and visit the 17th Century place of Emperor Fasilidas and his successors and his bath and swimming pool.
DAY 6:
Transfer to Axum, en route take an over view of part of the Semein mountains national park. spend the night at Axum.
DAY 7:
This day we will Visit the stalea field and Axum Tsiyon Maryam Church.
DAY 8:
Transfer to Adigrat and on the way visit the Temple of Yeha and the Monastery of Debra Libanos.
DAY 9:
Drive to Mekele and en route visit the rock hewn churches of Tigray (unique) and Negashi Mosque.
DAY 10:
Drive to Lalibela through mount' Alamata and viewing the landscapes and vegetation variety.
DAY 11:
We will spend this full day, visiting the churches of Lalibela which are carved of monolithic and semi-monolithic rock.
DAY 12:
Transfer to Konbolcha, en route visit the monastery of Lake Estefanos and the semi-monolithic church of Genet Maryam.
DAY 13:
Return back to Addis Ababa through Senbete, if its sunday we will visit senbete market.
DAY 14:
Departure.

In northern Ethiopia the rainy season is from June to late August. In the south the rainy season is April and May. Due to climate change, the data provided may vary depending on the year.
