VISA

The visa is done in the Addis Ababa airport (cost $ 50), a passport valid for at least 6 months. View formalities necessary for other than Spanish nationality.

THE WEATHER

In northern Ethiopia the rainy season is from June to late August. In the south the rainy season is April and May. Due to climate change, the data provided may vary depending on the year.

DAY 1:

Arrival in Addis Ababa. Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 2:

Undertake travel to Lagos Abyata. Shala and Langano. Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 3:

We will continue our journey to Arbaminch via Wolaita and Chencha (the Tribe of the Dorze). Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 4:

Visit the Netch Sar National Park and take a trip by boat on Lake Chamo. Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 5:

From Arbaminch we will go to Jinka, crossed with the Tribes Tsemay, Ari and Benna. Accommodation in Jinka.

DAY 6:

We will meet the Mursi Tribe. Overnight camp Mago National Park (riverside Neri).

DAY 7:

Continue south to visit Karo villages and learn about their culture and way of life. Accommodation in the camp Murulle or Duss.

DAY 8:

Visit to the People of Bume. Arrive at Hammer territory in Turmi for dinner. Overnight in camp or tended Iodge in Turmi.

DAY 9:

On this day an excursion to Omorate to meet the Tribe of Dassanech. Overnight in camp or dig a Iodge in Turmi.

DAY 10:

Hammer will visit a village, the colorful market Dimeka or Turmi (if it coincides the day of the week), Hammen ritual dances and ceremonies such as marriage or the initiation ceremony ('jumping Bull'). Overnight in camp or dig a Iodge in Turmi.

Continue to Konso. Overnight in camp or hotel.

A trip through Ethiopia that combines northern Ethiopia to the south. Traveling north, let us know the history of this country. A route designed with the objective of knowing the most important places in the region, where the majority is Orthodox worship. Most of the people are ethnic Amhara.

Cities like Bahar to the shores of Lake Tana, where we will visit its churches nestled in small islets located within the lake or Tissisat Falls, Blue Nile sources.

The town of Gondar with all its medieval buildings, castles, fortresses, declared World Heritage.

Lalibela highlight of the trip with its troglodyte churches excavated in the rock that form a unique and incomparable monument. We may know the rhythm of life of the monks who watch over the well kept relics that exist there.

The southern region is the most intense part ethnically speaking, where we can mixing with the tribes of the Mursis, Hamer, Karo, Dassanech, Ari, Arbore, etc.

This part of the trip is an unforgettable experience, a trip that will take us to the time of the legendary Queen of Sheba, and an ancestral Africa in the twenty-first century.
